Family Practice / Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time float position between two sites : Deschutes County Bend OG and the nearby Deschutes County Juvenile Detention Center (JDC).

Position Overview :

Schedule : 40 hours / week

Typically four 10-hour days, Tuesday through Friday

Includes a 60-minute lunch break from 12 : 00 PM 1 : 00 PM

Alternates 1st and 3rd Saturday mornings (7 : 00 AM 12 : 00 PM)

Flexibility required to cover PTO as needed

Site Coverage :

Primary location : Deschutes County Bend OG

Secondary location : Deschutes County JDC (2 4 hours / week)

JDC coverage includes basic medical care and required physicals for juveniles in detention

Alternates with another provider every other Tuesday morning (may adjust during regular business hours as needed)

Required Qualifications :

Extensive experience in family practice and chronic disease management

Proficient in Occupational Health , including worker s compensation

DOT certification required

Must be comfortable seeing patients ages 2 and up

Willingness to work with detained youth in a correctional setting

Preferred (Not Required) :

Experience with venipuncture and performing CLIA-waived lab testing (training can be provided)
