POSITION OVERVIEW :

The Programmer plays a multi-faceted role, responsible for designing, documenting, and commissioning proven commercial AV systems, while operating at an expert level to program and debug control systems and DSPs. He / she works closely with our Design Engineers to ensure systems are implemented to specification and meet the project objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING :

  • Program and commission commercial AV systems consisting of components from common manufacturers such as Logitech, Crestron, Yealink, Biamp, QSC (Q-Sys), Polycom, and Cisco.
  • Create programming scope of work documents and graphic layouts (button-by-button) for customer approval prior to implementation
  • Utilize and expand Continua Interiors’ Crestron programming assets to maximize efficiency in producing system programs, provide Continua Interiors with a competitive advantage, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Modify existing programs as needed for customer change requests and / or program updates
  • Provide programming support on service tickets as needed
  • Work with Design Engineers to create timely and accurate proposals to best meet the project objectives and budget
  • Produce system as-built documentation upon project completion, including red-lines to system drawings
  • Work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Support Project Managers with system documentation and information as needed to support timely and accurate project implementation
  • Communicate effectively with installation team members to ensure continuity of scope and specification
  • Attend site visits as required by Project Managers
  • Possess and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding existing and emerging AV technologies, seeking out training and certifications beneficial for personal growth
  • WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE :

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial AV experience, including commercial AV design.
  • Commercial AV installation experience preferred.
  • CTS Certification preferred.
  • Crestron DMC-D and DMC-E certifications preferred.
  • Extensive product line knowledge of Logitech, Crestron, Yealink, Biamp, QSC (Q-Sys), Polycom, and Cisco.
  • Extensive experience in Crestron programming and DSP programming.
  • Extensive knowledge of data networking as it relates to commercial AV integration.
  • In-depth understanding of construction blueprints, and demonstrated knowledge of commercial construction practices.
  • Effective communication skills, along with the ability to handle pressure-sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and handle deadlines and tight timelines.
  • Physical Requirements : While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 30 pounds. This position may require travel between offices, jobsites, and / or client locations, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting light luggage, and adapting to different time zones.

  • COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :

    The hiring compensation range for this position is a base salary of $80,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
