Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN assists with patient care, monitors health status, administers medications, and maintains accurate patient records. This role ensures high standards of patient care and supports the smooth functioning of healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.Observe and report changes in patients' health conditions to the supervising RN or physician.Clinical SupportPrepare and maintain patient care areas, equipment, and supplies.
Assist in diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.Documentation & ReportingAccurately maintain patient records, charts, and reports.
Document nursing care provided and any observations or incidents.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.Communication & CollaborationCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Participate in team meetings and care planning sessions.Support RNs and physicians in delivering quality patient care.Qualifications
Education & Certification :Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing from an accredited program.
Licensed as an LPN / LVN in the relevant state or country.Experience :1-3 years of clinical experience preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in hospital, clinic, or long-term care settings is a plus.Skills & Competencies :Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care.
