Job Description
- Hours are 7am to 7pm, various days and shifts
- Pay is $30 per hour
- Must be retired law enforcement officer with an Armed Guard license
Our risk and consulting group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a Armed Retired Law Enforcement Officer. The Armed Retired Law Enforcement Officer will conduct armed and / or unarmed foot and / or vehicle patrol (interior and / or exterior). The officer will maintain presence in lobby area of office building for the safety and security of client and visitors of the building.
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activitiesRespond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving mannerConduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting, persons as neededObserve and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior and / or materials / objects to the clientCommunicate and / or document any irregular security-related or safety-related incidentsMinimum Requirements :
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed rolesPossess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experienceAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)Prior civilian or military law enforcement experienceLicensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions onlyPreferred Qualifications :
Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat ZoneBachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studiesA minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branchAssociate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military servicePerks and Benefits :
