Description : Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Technician to join our growing team. The Controls Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining control systems and components used in industrial automation, HVAC, and building management systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, and field instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and maintain control systems including sensors, actuators, and controllers
- Troubleshoot and repair control system components and wiring issues
- Program and configure control devices such as PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs
- Integrate control systems with SCADA and BMS platforms
- Interpret and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic
- Assist in system commissioning, startup, and functional testing
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technicians on new installations and retrofits
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, modifications, and repairs
Work Schedule & Environment

Requirements :
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience in control systems, automation, or building management systemsProficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, and field devicesWorking knowledge of ladder logic and control system programmingAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsStrong understanding of industrial wiring and communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet / IP)Valid driver's license and reliable transportationStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
Associate degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related fieldOSHA 10 or 30 certificationFamiliarity with brands such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or HoneywellExperience with HVAC control systems or BMS integrationKnowledge of SCADA or energy management systemsPhysical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbsStanding, climbing ladders, bending, and working in elevated or confined spacesComfortable working in industrial, commercial, or mechanical environments
