American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification, BLS, and at least 6 months of hospital experience including Diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy, and OR / ER proficiency.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work setting includes hospital-based diagnostic radiology with use of 6 C-arms, 1 O-arm, 3 minis, 2 fluoro rooms, 2 general rooms, 1 chest room, and 4 portablesSchedule is Monday through Thursday from 9 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PMCall rotation is one week every sixth week, covering Monday to Thursday 7 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM, Friday 3 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM, and Saturday-Sunday 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 AMPatient population includes ER and OR cases as well as general diagnostic studiesObtain and document patients' clinical histories and necessary labs for licensed practitionersPosition and immobilize patients while ensuring comfort and accurate imagingSupport radiation safety and apply protective principles for patients, self, and othersPerform radiographic procedures, including operating a variety of imaging equipmentAssist with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures, using appropriate surgical techniqueComplete pre- and post-procedure documentation and verify informed consentMust pass EKG testing on first day with up to two attempts; study guides are providedWork within an interdisciplinary team and provide patient-centered careAttention to detail and critical thinking skills are essential\n \n Requirements\n
Current ARRT certification is requiredBLS from the American Heart Association is required prior to direct patient careVirginia Radiology license required; license required if applicableMinimum of 6 months experience in a hospital setting with Diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy, OR, and ER casesMust reside at least 50 miles from the facilityExperience in radiation safety and patient care preferredAssociates degree from an ARRT-accredited institute preferred\n Benefits\n
