Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students enrolled in the CNA / GNA program. This role involves teaching both classroom theory and clinical skills, preparing students for state certification through the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), and fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes student success in the healthcare field.

Essential Role Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging curriculum aligned with state CNA / GNA (CNA / GNA) certification requirements.
• Teach classroom, lab, and clinical components of the CNA / GNA program.
• Utilize the learning management system (LMS), Canvas to facilitate online learning.
• Evaluate student performance through exams, practical assessments, and clinical evaluations.
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and grading through Canvas.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing CNA / GNA education.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student learning and program development.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students pursuing careers in healthcare.
• Participate in professional development and maintain current licensure and certifications.
