Job Description

Role : MS SQL Programmer

Contract :   6 months to start

Location : Remote

Rate : $.-$. / hour W2 depending on experience and qualifications

Requirements :

  • LIMS  (Laboratory Information Management System) experience is required
  • Strong experience with  Microsoft SQL Server  and database maintenance.
  • Proficiency in  VBA programming .
  • Experience working with  LIMS systems  and laboratory workflows.
  • Understanding of  engineering principles , especially in material testing environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Cincinnati, OH is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and support the current SQL Server-based LIMS system.
  • Restore and ensure basic functionality of the existing system.
  • Develop and implement new features as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand system needs and priorities.
  • Perform VBA programming and support knowledge transfer with current onsite programmer.
  • Assist in standardizing systems across the business.
  • Provide engineering insight to support material testing lab operations.
  • Prepare for eventual transition to a new LIMS system (timeline : ~2 years).
  • Work closely with super users and financial system teams to ensure compatibility and understanding.
