Job Description

Position Description :

Performs distributed application design and development using Java, .Net, and Python. Designs and architects Cloud native applications using Azure. Develops Extract Transform andLoad and Extract Load and Transform (ETL / ELT) strategies. Advances recordkeeping systems by writing complex SQL queries using Oracle (PL / SQL). Manipulates large sets of datausing relational database technologies — Oracle SQL and PL / SQL.

Primary Responsibilities :

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Collaborates cross-functionally to define, build, refine, and evolve resilient data platforms.

Develops performance optimization using SQL tuning.

Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user need.

Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, ora closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing applications for 401k recordkeeping in a financialservices environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics,Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Data Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing applications for 401k recordkeeping in a financialservices environment.

Skills and Knowledge :

Candidate must also possess :

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”)building resilient and scalable Cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure Services; and deploying Oracle databases on Azure infrastructure.

DEbuilding data movement patterns using Cloud ETL tools — Migrating data between heterogeneous datastores using Azure Data Factory (ADF), PL / SQL, AzCopy, Azure BLOB Storage,and IBM Change Data Capture (CDC).

DEoptimizing Oracle database and data transformation capabilities; and performing performance tuning using EXPLAIN PLAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), AWR reports, Anodotmetrics, and Azure Metrics.

DE in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) — analyzing, designing, implementing, and performing version control (using Git / Bitbucket) and performing post-installation validation;and building applications in Artifactory using pipeline automation tools (Jenkins Core, Groovy Script, and UDeploy).
