Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - Contract Assignment

Location : Good Samaritan - Cardiac Cath Lab

Contract Duration : 8 Weeks (with potential short extension)

Orientation : Up to 1 week

Scrubs : Provided

Parking : Free onsite

About the Unit

Good Samaritan's Cardiac Cath Lab consists of 3 procedure labs , performing 12-15 adult cases per day . The team provides both inpatient and outpatient interventional cardiac services and operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment supported by advanced technology and experienced staff.

Technology & Equipment Used :

  • EPIC - Charting
  • Alaris - IV Pumps
  • Pyxis - Medication Dispensing
  • Zoll - Defibrillator
  • Philips Fluoroscopy System
  • Merge Hemodynamics
  • Datascope IABP

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
  • Associate's degree
  • Active certifications :

    • BLS (AHA)

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • ARRT or RTR
  • Illinois State License (IEMA)
  • Prior EPIC experience

    • Highly Preferred :

  • RCIS certification (CCI)
  • Previous EPIC Cupid module experience

    • Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique
  • Sheath pulling proficiency
  • TR Band placement & removal
  • Line securement
  • EKG & cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Experience with the following :

    • IABP

  • Impella
