A Structural Engineer with 5+ years' experience in construction (residential preferred) is needed in the Omaha area. This role focuses on stabilizing and waterproofing residential spaces, involving substantial hands-on experience in concrete and steel applications. The ideal Structural Engineer candidate will have a proven track record in foundational projects, strong problem-solving abilities, and a customer-oriented approach.
Structural Engineer Responsibilities
- Structural Stability Assessment : Analyze, evaluate, and design solutions for basement stabilization and wall reinforcements to ensure long-term structural integrity.
- Waterproofing Projects : Oversee and implement waterproofing techniques to enhance the durability and resilience of residential construction projects.
- Material Expertise : Apply technical expertise in concrete and steel to execute repair and stabilization strategies, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Customer Engagement : Maintain open communication with clients, explaining engineering concepts and project progress clearly and effectively.
- Project Collaboration : Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering staff to facilitate successful project delivery from design through completion.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all designs and implementations meet local, state, and federal codes, especially those relevant to foundational and structural stability in residential projects.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of project sites to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Structural Engineer Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Structural Engineering).Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; an EIT with relevant structural and foundational experience may be considered.5+ years' structural engineering experience, primarily focused on foundational projects within residential or comparable settings.Demonstrated proficiency in concrete and steel applications.Experience in residential projects is preferred; however, candidates with a commercial background will also be considered.Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for customer-facing interactions and project documentation.Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).Ideal candidates are those looking to grow their careers locally, working within a supportive company culture focused on growth and development.Benefits
