Job Title : Software Certification Engineer

Job Description

As a Software Certification Engineer, you will plan and implement the RTCA DO-178C and DO-254 lifecycle processes for avionics, power electronics, and battery systems. You will verify complex microcontroller and FPGA designs to achieve coverage of functional and structural aspects. The product areas include cockpit displays and instruments, local and remote sensing, data conversion and storage, lithium battery management, AC / DC and DC / DC power conversion up to 8000W, in-seat power solutions, and various other components needed in aircraft systems. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the highest level of safety and reliability through the implementation of safety-critical software design processes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement RTCA DO-178C and DO-254 lifecycle processes for avionics and power electronics.
  • Verify complex microcontroller and FPGA designs for functional and structural coverage.
  • Provide expert analysis to meet the highest levels of safety and reliability.
  • Implement safety-critical software design processes.
  • Work with target hardware, including lab bench equipment for debugging and analysis.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • Minimum one year of experience with RTCA DO-178C or safety-critical software design processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Organized, focused, and results-oriented.
  • Problem-solving skills with critical thinking and prioritizing abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with C++, C#, or Python languages for PC application software.
  • Ability to work directly with target hardware and lab bench equipment.
  • Proficiency with FPGA, PLD components, and embedded systems.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00 / yr.
