Job Description

Eurofins PSS is looking for a Formulation Analytical Scientist to support a client’s research and development team working on innovative drug products, including lipid-based therapies, mRNA, and proteins. This role focuses on developing and running analytical tests to support formulation and process development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Run analytical tests to help with material characterization, process optimization, and formulation development.
  • Use advanced tools like LC-MS, LC-MS / MS, UPLC, SEC-MALS to analyze lipids, RNA, and proteins.
  • Write and update test methods, SOPs, and study reports.
  • Work closely with teams in genetic medicine, formulation, and analytical development to deliver timely results.
  • Troubleshoot issues with assays and clearly present your findings in team meetings.
  • Keep accurate records using electronic lab notebooks and sample tracking systems.
  • Take on additional lab responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in life sciences with 4–6 years of industry experience, OR
  • M.S. in life sciences with 2–3 years of industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing and optimizing analytical assays.
  • Experience working with lipid, RNA, and protein analysis using LC-MS and LC-MS / MS.
  • Familiarity with QExactive or Orbitrap instruments.
  • Ability to work independently after initial training.
  • Strong troubleshooting and data interpretation skills.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in qualifying assays using ICH guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with iPSC culture and differentiation (a plus).
  • Comfortable using digital lab tools like FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, Benchling, SharePoint, and Veeva.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.

  • The position is Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm .Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA,  are encouraged to apply.
