Wage Scale : $30.40-$43.99 (Starting wage $30.40-$34.47 DOE)

Hours : 40 hours per week some flexibility with schedule

Position Summary :

This position is responsible for recruitment of vacant City positions maintaining job descriptions and maintaining a comprehensive wellness program to support employees mental health and physical health. This position also provides administrative support to the Human Resource Manager and in all other areas of service provided by the Human Resource Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Recruitment for vacant city positions including advertising reviewing applications reviewing job qualifications performing interviews sending regret letters and completing background checks and verifications and drug screens.
• Maintain a comprehensive wellness program by creating and developing wellness events.
• Promote wellness and fitness initiatives in the City.
• Assist with city-wide information meetings such as all employee meeting open enrollment new hire orientation etc.
• Write and update job classifications job descriptions and compensation specifications.
• Conduct salary and benefits benchmarking with comparable cities.
• Maintain records according to retention schedule; Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
• Help new employees with required paperwork and assist with the processing of the various forms;
• Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices and recommends changes to HR Manager as needed to maintain compliance.
• Maintain a productive working environment which includes but is not limited to a spirit of cooperation with co-workers peers and the public; and
• Other duties as assigned by the Human Resource Manager.
