Position Overview
We are seeking a Trainer II to support operator and maintenance training for the Poland FMS ASRR Aerostat program in both CONUS and OCONUS (Poland) locations. This mid-level position focuses on developing and delivering hands-on instruction and assisting in the development of practical training content. You will deliver training foreign military and US contractor personnel in both classroom and field settings, ensuring knowledge transfer in operational procedures and maintenance of Aerostat systems and associated ground equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training for Aerostat system operation and maintenance, including component identification, launch / recovery, inspections, and LRU replacement
- Support development and delivery of POIs, lesson plans, job aids, and evaluation tools
- Train foreign military and US Contractor personnel on system operations and maintenance including ground and airborne electronics, generators, winches, lifts, and hydraulic / electrical subsystems
- Conduct practical exercises, OJT, and hands-on troubleshooting in field training environments
- Assist in tracking trainee progress, providing feedback, and documenting instructional outcomes
- Participate in training updates, equipment validation, and field exercise support alongside SMEs and technical staff
Required Qualifications
2–4 years of military or technical training experience as an operator, maintainer, or trainerCertified instructor (e.g., Army Basic Instructor Course or equivalent industry-approved certification)Familiarity with technical manuals, maintenance allocation charts, and DoD instructional practicesProficiency in development aspects of Office 365, Adobe Creative tools, and learning content management systemsSupport design, creation, and delivery of interactive training presentations using Adobe Captivate as part of blended learning effortsHands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, or C5ISR systems in a training or support capacityStrong interpersonal and communication skills in diverse team environmentsPreferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting international training programs, FMS deployments, or OCONUS Aerostat missionsExperience with TRADOC-aligned training development processes and toolsFamiliarity with IETMs or S1000D-based contentPolish language proficiency or prior experience working with international military audiencesOther Requirements
Willingness to travel internationally for extended assignmentsPhysical ability to support hands-on training and lift equipment in field settingsAbility to meet Army Conus Replacement Center (CRC) MOD-17 medical requirements for deployment.U.S. Government background investigation required
