Job Title : Mapping Analyst

Join our team as a Mapping Analyst where you will contribute to mapping and quality assurance processes for multiple coding systems support product releases and provide subject matter expertise to improve healthcare data mapping and documentation standards.
Responsibilities :
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in initial mapping and QA processes for multiple code sets while adhering to nationally recognized authoritative coding guidelines.
Support product release schedules including the resolution of identified mapping issues.
Identify potential opportunities for improving map quality and accuracy.
Handle and resolve complex customer inquiries and related calls.
Contribute to more complex release-related tasks.
Provide support and mentorship to developing team members.
Develop clear and concise editorial content with appropriate examples and manage the editorial review process.
Create basic training materials and / or process documentation.
Develop and deliver interdepartmental presentations on mapping-related topics or processes.
Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science or Arts degree required; degree in Health Information Management preferred.
Skills & Certifications :
Mandatory Skills
Experience with U.S.-based code sets : ICD-10-CM / PCS ICD-9-CM CPT and HCPCS or international code sets such as ICD-10-AM ICD-10-CA ICD-10 CCI OPCS and / or ACHI .
Minimum 5 years experience in coding or code mapping.
Knowledge of other administrative code sets and clinical terminologies preferred including ICD-O DSM-5 LOINC SNOMED and international versions of ICD-10.
Experience with electronic health records and terminology (preferred).
Certifications (One or more required but not limited to) :
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) AAPC
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) AHIMA
Certified Coding Associate (CCA) AHIMA
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCS-P)
