Join our team! Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is accepting applications for summer workers to work on a commercial construction jobsite during the summer season. This is a temporary position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Under supervision, this position performs basic construction tasks.
• Shovel dirt and / or rubble.
• Maintain a clean job site : pick up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Perform material handling and storage.
• Load and unload trucks, manually haul and / or hoist materials.
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects.
• Perform manual work in preparing surfaces.

Requirements :

Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and / or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and / or precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
