job_description.job_card.job_descriptionFull-time salary + full benefits & PTO even though you're working only half the weeks of the year Mileage reimbursement Employer HSA contribution up to $1,000 - free money for your health Tuition reimbursement for career advancement Full Health Insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and life insurance Health & Wellness Support Provide after-hours hospice nursing support to patients and families Triage calls, coordinate care, and visit patients as needed Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality, compassionate end-of-life care Current RN license in Michigan Hospice or home health experience preferred Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently Help optimize the capital structure and support strategic initiatives. Maintains the agency's mission, philosophy and core values. Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations / processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety and emergency management. Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations. Licensed or registered in the state in which he / she currently practices.. Must pass a criminal background check & MVR check. Completed health statement acknowledging ability to perform the duties of the position. Valid state driver's license. Proof of current automobile insurance. Current CPR card; On-line CPR certification accepted; Hands-on CPR certification preferred. TB testing per agency policy; (1 or 2 step TB skin test within 12 months of hire & annual TB symptom screening thereafter). Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to supervise others appropriately. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes. Completes Hospice training program. Active patient contact within past three years, preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferred Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Currently licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the state.

About the Role
Join The Care Team as a Hospice RN and enjoy a unique 7-on / 7-off schedule!
In this after-hours role, you'll triage calls from home, coordinate care, and dispatch to patients as the need arises . Most of your time is spent remotely supporting families and staff, and you are not managing an ongoing caseload. This full-time salaried position includes full benefits and PTO while giving you extended time off every other week.
Schedule Highlights
- 7 days on, 7 days off (only 26 working weeks per year!)
- Evening / Night coverage from 4 : 30 pm-8 : 30 am and Weekends
- On call from home, responding in person only when needed
