Are you a problem-solver with a passion for uncovering the truth behind complex mechanical failures and vehicle accidents We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license to join our dynamic team of forensic experts. ACTAR certification and HVAC expertise is preferred. PRIMARY PURPOSE : To investigate accident sites vehicles and mechanical equipment researching documenting evidence and determine damage and provide clients with expert opinions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts investigations of vehicles equipment and accident sites to document the evidence and determine the scope of damage.

Investigates and assesses damages due to failures and determines the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.

Researches evaluates analyzes and tests the causation of accidents and failures.

Collaborates with other engineering disciplines to produce detailed reports outlining the cause of the accident.

Serves as an expert witness in court and / or in depositions.

Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis for failure analysis and forensic engineering projects for clients.

Collaborates with EFI Globals national team of forensic experts to leverage experiences and assist on projects.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supports the organizations quality program(s).

Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university required.

Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.

ACTAR certification is preferred

Experience

Six (6) years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only the range of starting pay for this role is $140000-$155000.
