Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Tech Kansas City, MO (Area)| Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Rotating On-Call W / E within Team) The  Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) , a nonprofit serving the Kansas City Metro for 50+ years, is seeking a  Maintenance Tech 1  to support our facilities, grounds, and vehicles.

This role ensures safe, clean, and fully functional environments for our staff and the individuals we serve.

What You’ll Do Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and safety systems.

Perform floor care, drywall repairs, painting, and grounds upkeep.

Complete vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.

Track supplies, order equipment, and manage invoices.

Respond to emergency work orders and occasional after-hours calls.

What We’re Looking For High school diploma / GED  required .

At least 1 year of facilities maintenance experience (2+ years or technical training preferred).

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work indoors / outdoors in varying conditions.

Valid driver’s license; ability to travel locally.
