Tax Manager
Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the tax function within the organization, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations while identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies. This role requires strong leadership and expertise in tax planning, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the tax compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate filings of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the organization's financial goals.
- Review and analyze complex tax issues and provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and quarterly estimates.
- Train and mentor junior tax staff and provide guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA certification is required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and compliance requirements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
