Production and Systems Engineer Sme

We are seeking a highly skilled Production and Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development, integration, and optimization of advanced Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) technologies. This role is critical in ensuring end-to-end system design, manufacturability, operational reliability, and performance.

Location : Huntsville, AL

Pay Rate : 125k - 165k a year

Key Responsibilities

• Systems Engineering Leadership : Lead systems engineering processes to ensure robust system architectures and seamless integration of C-UAS technologies.
• Requirements Development : Develop and refine requirements, specifications, and verification plans for C-UAS technologies.
• Manufacturing Oversight : Oversee manufacturing workflows, assembly, and production optimization while maintaining system integrity.
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) : Implement MBSE methodologies to enhance design and development (preferred).
• Trade Studies and Risk Analysis : Manage trade studies, risk analysis, and performance validation to ensure optimal C-UAS functionality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with science and technology (S&T), software, hardware, and user teams to ensure cohesive development efforts.
• Failure Analysis and Reliability Improvements : Conduct and lead Failure Review Boards, failure mode analysis (FMEA), root-cause investigations, and system reliability improvements.
• Compliance Assurance : Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards, MIL-SPECs, and aerospace regulations.
• Testing and Validation : Lead testing, integration, and validation efforts to ensure C-UAS effectiveness in real-world scenarios.
