Accounts Payable Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst to join our finance team located in Chicago, IL. As a key member of the AP function, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data to improve payment processes and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, a keen eye for discrepancies, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Accounts Payable Analyst Responsibilities :

• Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
• Analyze AP data and trends to improve processes and prevent discrepancies
• Reconcile AP accounts, resolving any outstanding issues with vendors and internal teams
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP
• Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely payments to vendors
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and vendors to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
• Maintain compliance with company policies and financial regulations
