Advisory Manager

Remote - occasional travel to NYC

140K - $180K base + 30% target bonus

We’re partnering with a fast-growing advisory group within a boutique firm that’s doubling down on its Reps & Warranties (R&W) practice after a successful year of expansion. With 2023 revenue at $300K and 2024 already pacing at $1.3M, the team is scaling thoughtfully - backed by business demand and strong leadership.

If you’re a Big 4 or Consulting / Advisory Services alum who enjoys technical accounting, quick-turn projects, and work that requires real critical thinking (not just Excel gymnastics), this could be your sweet spot.

What You’ll Do

You'll support insurance underwriters (primarily legal counsel) in verifying that the reps and warranties within M&A purchase agreements are accurate prior to policy issuance.

You’ll :

  • Review financial due diligence reports and purchase agreements
  • Evaluate financial statements for risk areas or potential exposures
  • Summarize findings in brief, client-ready deliverables
  • Participate in underwriting calls (alongside Big 4 diligence teams) to address questions and clarify red flags
  • Apply a forensic accounting mindset to assess accuracy and completeness - across any industry experiencing M&A activity

Projects are short, typically 6–8 hours from start to finish and involve a mix of independent analysis and collaborative client engagement.

Why It’s Worth Your Consideration :

Remote-first : 100% WFH with the occasional trip to NYC

Interesting, varied work : Each deal is unique, no rinse-and-repeat audit cycles

Strong leadership : You'll report to a highly respected leader in the space

Reasonable hours : Maintains a strong work / life balance culture, even while growing fast

Direct client exposure : Interaction with both underwriters and assurance diligence teams

What You're Bringing :

  • 6–10+ years of total experience in public accounting and / or transaction advisory
  • Strong technical accounting acumen (GAAP, M&A)
  • Comfort analyzing financial statements with a critical, risk-focused lens
  • Effective communicator—both in writing and on client calls
  • This is a high-impact role within a high-growth team - perfect for someone who likes working smart, thinking critically, and being close to the deal.
