Inpatient Hospice Unit for Evenings and Weekend Coverage

We are looking for caring individuals to volunteer on our inpatient hospice unit (IPC) in Wauwatosa, WI (housed in The Lutheran Home) , particularly on evenings and weekends.

Your role as a volunteer would be to assist our nurses and care staff with answering phones, greeting visitors, answering call lights, delivering meal trays, and / or visiting with patients and thier their familyies and friends.

No prior experience required.

You will be fully trained and supported each step of the way.

Direct Care Volunteers are required to participate in initial hospice volunteer training as well as basic orientation. Training is offered in different formats and locations throughout the AccentCare Hospice service areas. Specific skill sets may require additional interviews, selection, and program training.
