Starting Date Spring 2026 Responsibilities
The McCoy School of Engineering at Midwestern State University invites applications for a full-time 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin Spring 2026. As a faculty member in the McCoy School of Engineering you will be expected to :
1. Teach courses in electrical engineering;
2. Develop a record of research activity,
3. Provide service to the department, college, and university,
4. Advise / mentor electrical engineering students.
The ability to develop and teach a broad number of basic electrical engineering courses and labs such as integrated circuit design, digital signal processing, embedded and real-time systems, electrical power design, and senior design is desired.
Requirements
Required Qualifications include :
1. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (EE) or equivalent field of study (ABD applicants must have degree conferred by December 2025);
2. Preference given to those with ABET accreditation and mentoring of senior capstone projects experience;
3. The ability to develop and teach a broad number of basic electrical engineering courses and labs such as integrated circuit design, digital signal processing, embedded and real-time systems, electrical power design, and senior design is desired;
4. The selected candidate should have a vested interest in undergraduate teaching, research, and service.
