• Executive Chef
• for Covenant Living at Windsor Park, a beautiful upscale continuing care retirement community in
• Carol Stream, Illinois
• . The community is located in a west suburb of Chicago in DuPage county. It sits on 60 acres with 5 lakes and serves over 500 residents a day. The typical schedule is from 9 : 30 AM to 6 : 30 PM, may vary with occasional weekends and holiday coverage.

• What You'll Do
• manage the culinary team of 25 hourly employees.
• oversee the daily dining operations including menu planning and controls;
• ensure a first-class dining experience for residents, guests, and staff;
• ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
• have high expectations for quality of food and presentation;
• will develop and train cooks.

• What You Bring
• a strong culinary background with an artistic flare,
• prior experience in retirement communities, corporate dining, country clubs and / or restaurants.
• fine dining experience.
• strong knowledge in compliance, food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
• ability to develop trust and build strong client relationships while meeting the expectations of the client as well as Sodexo.
• demonstrate experience supervising and mentoring a culinary team and an exceptional supervisory / management skillset.
• possess a hands-on, innovative leadership approach to management.
• a passion for high-level customer service and relationship oriented.
• the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget.

• Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
