No Job Summary / Basic Function Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position.
Provide individual academic counseling and coaching – 90%
- Conduct individual student meetings for skill development and academic support
- Facilitate learning of college skills by challenging students to practice success strategies while building supportive and mentoring relationships
- Develop academic success plans in consultation with students and key stakeholders
- Execute outreach and interventions designed for students identified as at-risk
- Manage a caseload of students, use Navigate to track all meetings and monitor progress
- Use data points including progress reports, mid-semester grades, and alerts to inform next strategies / support for students
- Coordinate with campus and community resources as necessary to evaluate progress and ensure appropriate support for students
- Serve as a resource for the development and assessment of strategies in the student support curriculum
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degreeExperience in student affairs or academic advising related fieldUnderstanding of trauma-informed practices and experience supporting diverse needs and populationsStrong communication skills including presentation or training experienceStrong history of collaboration and teamworkPreferred Qualifications
Three years of experience in student affairs or academic advisingMaster’s Degree in Counseling, Student Affairs or other related Education fieldExperience with EAB Navigate or related early alert systemClassroom teaching and curriculum development experienceOpen Until Filled No Screening Begins 11 / 28 / 2025 Benefits
