Triage Software Engineer -Japanese / English Bilingual
The Triage Software Engineer will primarily be responsible for initial analysis and triage of defects before they are assigned to individual development teams for root cause and fix.
Responsibilities :
- Perform high level defect analysis to filter out environmental / setup issues, IVI vs server-side issues and move the defects to correct queue (HU, Server, Tier1, Tier2 etc.) at the earliest
- Continuously monitor the defect dashboard, drive defect triage calls and work closely with PO, Eval & Development team members to clarify defects and track them to closure
- Create dashboards and reports for management and other stakeholders
- Provide summarization of key points and work with others to cut through ambiguity and bring issues to resolution
Skills Required :
Business level Japanese and English language proficiencyGreat problem-solving skills, analytical, tools & development experience, and ability to evaluate and identify issues at a code levelHistory of working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful productMust be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a knack for solving problems creativelyAble to work under pressureExperienced in Automotive Infotainment domain with exposure to embedded software development in C / C++ / LinuxKnowledge of how to use JIRA, Confluence and Logs Analysis ToolsHigh Level System Architecture Knowledge - SW Design, Sequence diagrams, APIs, HTTP error codesConversant with Linux commands, utilities and basic Python scriptingExperience in Agile and Scrum methodologiesAbility to respond promptly, confidently, and effectively to unforeseen situations, such as unexpected questions, obstacles, or opportunitiesAdditional preferences :
