Job Summary :

The College of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) / Clinical Advisory Dean.

The Clinical Advisory Dean (CAD) serves as a dedicated mentor and advisor to approximately 15 third-year and 15 fourth-year medical students annually. CADs guide students through key academic and career milestones during their clinical years providing one-on-one support and expert advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Third-Year Students :

Meet a minimum of three times annually

Sept / Oct : Transition to clerkships and early career planning

Provide structured advising on the residency application process

June / July : Application overview
