The ideal candidate has a history of being a solid strategic thinker, a track record of delivering within aggressive timelines, and demonstrated experience in working with, and influencing, cross-functional teams to deliver strategic recommendations.

Role Responsibilities

• Take a leadership role in building and expanding Western Union's corporate strategy and driving our strategic planning processes.
• Identify opportunities in existing businesses and / or assess new business opportunities, with a focus on top and bottom-line improvements.
• Assess market, consumer, and competitive research and analyses (working with research teams) to create a foundation of insights to inform strategies.
• Build strategic rationale to justify and socialize new opportunities.
• Create clear, structured strategic recommendations, communicated through concise storytelling that can be presented to C-level company executives.
• Project manage key strategic initiatives through the development of work plans that define cross-functional team roles and responsibilities and timelines to execute. Additionally, this role will need to own the strategic assessment, project initiation, design, planning, and monitoring of workstreams / efforts across teams.
• Develop metric-driven business cases to quantify the investment and potential opportunity of new strategic initiatives and service offerings.
• Manage relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives and service offerings.
• Be a thought leader and engage, influence, and become a partner to our senior executives across business lines and regions.

The base salary range is $185,000 - $200,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus long-term and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.

Our Hybrid Work Model categorizes each role into one of three categories. Western Union has determined the category of this role to be Hybrid. This is defined as a flexible working arrangement that enables employees to divide their time between working from home and working from an office location.
