About the Role
The Company is in search of a Managing Director for its Construction XS business unit. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and executing a growth strategy for the portfolio, including both organic growth and strategic acquisitions or partnerships. This role requires a leader with a strong underwriting background in the construction insurance industry, a proven track record in driving new product development and marketing initiatives, and excellent people management skills to build and lead a high-performing team. The Managing Director will also be responsible for ensuring the profitability of the business unit, maintaining disciplined underwriting standards, and managing expenses. Additionally, the role involves working closely with actuarial colleagues to develop and price construction XS products, leading sales and marketing efforts, and evaluating reinsurance opportunities to optimize the risk profile.
