CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following : 1. Personnel Recruitment, Training & Development Conduct field and classroom training for new hires and existing staff. Utilize EMS Academy for Continuing Education Units (CEUs), Skills refreshers (BLS / ALS). Oversee scenario-based training (mock codes, trauma simulations). Coaching the trainee to safely provide (BLS / ALS) patient care on scene and during transport foremergency and non-emergency calls. Coaches the trainee to drive the emergency vehicle safely with and without patients to locations. Coaches the trainee to conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Coaches the trainee to complete patient care and trip documentation and other necessarypaperwork. Orients new employees to Prudence EMS. Test trainees knowledge and skills. Model behavior safely and observes trainees performance on various skill dimensions. Accurately documents trainees daily performance. Provides detailed written and verbal reports to members of the management team. May teach initial orientation, continuing education or remedial courses. Represents the company to patients and the general public. Attends operational meetings. Acquires continuing education for re-certification.Ambulance Service Inc. Oversee EMTs, dispatchers, and drivers, ensuring adherence to protocols and professionalism. Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees in accordance with trainers certificationand licensure. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Onboard EMTs (BLS) to meet call-type demands. Train existing BLS staff on BLS-MICU protocols (e.g., advanced airway management, IVmedications) using EMS1 Academy and hands-on simulations in accordance with trainerscertification and licensure. Conduct quarterly skills assessments to ensure competency in BLS-MICU care. Partner with HR to recruit staff with BLS, MICU (CCEMT-P / Critical Care) certifications. Train new hires on company protocols, software (Sling / Angel Track), and EMS1 Academycoursework. Conduct quarterly performance reviews for all staff, addressing gaps with coaching or remedialtraining. Implement retention program and processes. Performs other duties as assigned.2. Performance Evaluation & Metric Assess trainees using standardized checklists in Angel Track (linked to ePCR compliance). Track KPIs : - Clinical Accuracy (medication errors, protocol deviations)- Response Efficiency (dispatch-to-scene time via Angel Track)- Documentation Quality (ePCR completion rates, audit scores)- Provide real-time feedback using Gustos performance review tools.3. Technology Integration Angel Track : - Train staff on Angel Track features, ePCR documentation, reporting, dispatch integration,GPS fleet tracking and compliance tracking.- Monitor trainee PCRs for accuracy and compliance. EMS Academy : - Assign and track mandatory CEUs.- Administer online testing and certifications- Maintain EMS1 Academy portal to oversee CEU credits, mandatory training, andcertifications for EMTs / Paramedics. Sling : - Coordinate shift schedules for trainees.- Facilitate real-time communication between crews and trainers. Gusto- Document trainee progress.- Conduct quarterly performance review.4. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to state EMS regulations, company SOPs, and medical director guidelines. Participate in CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) reviews using Angel Track analytics. Report training deficiencies or safety risks via Sling / Gusto escalation protocols. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EMS regulations, including HIPAA andstandards. Conduct routine safety audits and risk assessments to minimize accidents and liability. Investigate incidents, accidents, or complaints and implement corrective actions. Maintain up-to-date licenses, certifications, and insurance requirements for the company and staff. Optimize use of Angel Track (CAD / RMS dispatch software / ePCR system), and Sling, for realtimeresource tracking and billing accuracy. Master and manage Angel Track software for dispatch automation, crew scheduling, PCRcompliance and compliance tracking.5. Reporting Structure & Accountability Direct Supervision- Primary Supervisor : Training Coordinator / Operations Manager- Weekly Sling check-ins on trainee progress.- Submission of Gusto evaluation reports.- Secondary Oversight : Medical Director (clinical competency validation).6. Performance Metrics & KPIs / Process Improvement & ReportingMetric Tool Used TargetTrainee Pass Rate EMS Academy / Gusto 90%ePCR Compliance Angel Track Audits 100%CEU Completion EMS Academy 100%Trainee Satisfaction Gusto Feedback 4.5 / 5 Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and costeffectiveness. Prepare reports for leadership on key performance indicators (KPIs).7. Corrective Action Workflow Tier 1 (Minor Issues) : Additional training via EMS Academy modules. Tier 2 (Repeated Errors) : Formal Gusto Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). Tier 3 (Critical Failure) : Removal from training pending reassessment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent. Current EMT, Advanced or Paramedic Certification. Current AHA BLS / CPR certification. BLS, ACLS, PALS, MICU FTOs Angel Track, EMS Academy, Sling proficiency Valid state drivers license and satisfactory driving record. Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving. Excellent people skills Physically strong, agile and dexterous. Professional manner and appearance. Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential. Experience in data collection, entry, and reporting with great attentionto detail and confidentiality. Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment with a commitment toresponsiveness and customer / co-worker satisfaction. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. EMS Academy : Course assignments, CEU tracking. Sling : Scheduling, team communications. Gusto : Performance reviews, feedback management.Work Conditions Shiftwork : 12 / 24-hour rotations (managed via Sling).
