HR Generalist
Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is a leading provider of broadcast managed services. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing core HR functions, with a strong focus on payroll administration, compliance, and general human resources duties such as employee relations and benefits. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes, and a solid understanding of human capital management practices.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage the bi-weekly or monthly payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timely payment, and compliance with all tax regulations.
- Administer employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Handle all aspects of general employee relations, promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Administer benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
- Oversee employee evaluation processes and performance management initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA, other employment and labor laws, and federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Utilize HRIS and payroll systems such as BambooHR for data entry, payroll processing, and workforce management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of contracts, payroll information, and all other essential HR documentation.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to inform HR strategies and decision-making.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting, or a related field preferred.Proven experience in a human resources role with direct responsibility for payroll administration.Strong understanding of HR principles, payroll practices, and employment law compliance.Familiarity with HRIS / Payroll systems such as BambooHR is advantageous.Knowledge of project management methodologies to support HR initiatives effectively.Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels of the organization.Ability to handle conflict management situations with professionalism and discretion.
