Position Overview for the Project Architect :

JARBO is working with a growing Architecture firm who's looking to hire a Project Architect with a focus on Municipal, Commercial, Retail, Multi-Family, and / or Greek projects to join our dynamic team. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, innovative designs and ensuring their projects exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional setting and preferably in pursuit of their license in the state of Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities for the Project Architect :

  • Assist in and lead in the design process for projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards, as well as client specifications.
  • Act as a contact for clients, school administrators, and other stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and building long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including engineers, consultants, and construction professionals, to ensure seamless project integration and address design and technical challenges effectively.
  • Develop and oversee construction documentation to ensure project accuracy and adherence to budget, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all project elements meet applicable codes and standards with a focus on safety, accessibility, and durability.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.

Qualifications for the Project Architect :

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in architecture
  • Preferred having passed at least 2 of 6 exams toward licensure
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Strong proficiency in architectural design software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of design standards, including safety, accessibility, and environmental considerations.
  • Exceptional project management support and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in presenting to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
