NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a Data Scientist to support a Federal Program in St Louis, MO. This is a direct-hire role with our client, a highly respected, fast-growing Federal Integrator. Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship and an active TS / SCI Clearance is required.
Role Overview :
The selected candidate will collaborate directly with clients to understand their data-related challenges and questions. Based on this understanding, your technical background, and IC domain knowledge, you will build modern analytic processes, new solutions, scripts and data modeling content. You will serve in a role that is focused on building automated processes, designing data science architectures, conducting analysis, and developing workflows. You will utilize advanced tools for data examination, and identify trends to address complex DoD and IC challenges.
Key Responsibilities :
- Apply exploratory data analysis (EDA) techniques to extract insights, patterns, and correlations from complex datasets
- Create processes around large data sets to identify analytical discoveries
Create visualizations for those discoveries that are easily integrated into daily operations.
Engage with both structured and unstructured datasets in a modeling and analytics context to develop efficient processes for evaluating complex data sources and addressing unique intelligence challengesUse big data tools to process and interpret diverse datasets, generating meaningful insightsLead and contribute to the creation of new solutions, as well as the enhancement of existing onesCollaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and program managers to break down road map items into actionable tasks, provide time and resource estimates, propose solutions, and assess riskIntegrate math, coding, and analytics to derive actionable insights for decision-makersResearch and apply optimization frameworks and strategies to inform both data management and analytical activitiesRequired Qualifications :
Active TS / SCI clearance with eligibility for CI Polygraph (we can sponsor your CI poly if you don't already have one)7 years of experience and a BS degree (substiutions of experience, education, and certifications / training are allowed and will be considered)Background supporting Intelligence Community operations (either as an analyst or a data scientist to support -INT related missions)Ability to work with both structured and unstructured dataHands-on experience with data miningPrior experience with maintaining or developing databasesAbility to identify opportunities for system enhancements and new analytic capabilitiesExperience leveraging government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) data processing and analytics tools to modernize methodologiesProficiency with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) statistical tools such as MapLarge, Tableau, or MATLAB for data visualization and complex statistical analysisUnderstanding of and hands-on experience with advanced analytical methods, and a track record of applying them to meet client needsKnowledge of multi-INT and specialized technology research methods to support operational needsStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical details in an accessible wayPreferred Qualifications :
Advanced programming experience using tools such as HTML5 / JavaScript, ArcObjects, Python, Model Builder, Oracle, SQL, GIScience, Statistical tools, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, or ArcIMSExperience in programming for web interfaces and geodatabase development using .NET, Python, C++, or JavaFamiliarity with building and maintaining databases for GEOINT, SIGINT, or OSINT to align with mission needsBackground in developing and implementing AI / ML technologiesProficiency in visualizing data through Matrix or Network Analytics, graphical data tools, and creating operational pictures that support assessments and intelligence products
