Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II-Paint Line. The core hours are 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do :

  • Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines / presses
  • Troubleshoot various machinery problems
  • Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders
  • QC and document all parts run on machines
  • Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system
  • Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production
  • Keep work areas clean and safe
  • Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications : Required (Basic) Qualifications : No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Reno, NV (50 miles) will be considered for this position. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. Preferred Qualifications : Previous experience in a manufacturing environment A minimum of 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines A minimum of 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Position Criteria : Able to operate machinery and presses safely Able to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material Able to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers Able to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision Physical Requirements : Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Able to lift and bend on a continuous basis Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure. Working Conditions : Exposure to cold / heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open Fast paced working, while maintaining safety priorities
