Windows and or Linux Server Administration

Infosys is seeking a Windows / Linux Server Administrator . This role is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise server infrastructure ensuring high availability security and performance. This role involves overseeing physical and virtual servers implementing best practices and leading a team to support mission-critical systems.

Required Skills :

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson TX or Memphis TN or Hartford CT or Indianapolis IN or Raleigh NC or Tempe AZ orbe willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in Windows / Linux server administration and support.
• Provide advanced technical support for Windows and / or Linux servers in physical and virtual environments.
• Monitor server performance availability and capacity using enterprise tools.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex server-related incidents and problems.
• Manage server patching upgrades and configuration changes.
• Collaborate with network storage and application teams to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Support cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure initiatives (e.g. Azure AWS).
• Maintain documentation for server configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2012 / 2016 / 2019) and / or Linux (RHEL CentOS Ubuntu).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP).
• Proficiency in PowerShell Bash or other scripting languages.
• Understanding of Active Directory DNS DHCP and Group Policies.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios SolarWinds SCOM).
• ITIL certification or working knowledge of ITIL processes.
