GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for programming and nesting plasma tables, tube lasers, flat lasers, and press brakes using a mix of cad and cam software.

This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a

team. The programmer will maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and

tooling information to achieve production goals and product quality.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Develop and implement programs and nests for plasma table, tube laser, flat laser, and press brakes to meet production specifications.
• Experience with sheet metal and / or structural steel fabrication.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and tooling information.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any programming issues that arise during the production process.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements.
• Must have ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines.
• Must have good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with CAD and / or CAM software (Inventor, AutoCAD, Boost, OmniWIN).
• Basic knowledge of Global Shop or comparable ERP System.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
