Data Analyst

Job Title : Data Analyst Location : Hybrid – 3 days / week onsite in Boston (MA), Rahway (NJ), or West Point (PA) Duration : 1 year (possible extension) No remote option | No sponsorship Key Responsibilities : Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to build data workflows and predictive tools supporting drug discovery & development. Develop dashboards, reports, and data exports to support data-driven decisions. Create and deploy interactive visualizations using Python and tools like Shiny, Streamlit, Dash, PowerBI, Tableau, etc. Leverage AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena) as data sources. Maintain version control with Git / GitHub. Support continuous improvement initiatives with innovative data solutions. Work as part of the Digital Sciences team in Analytical R&D at Merck. Must-Have Qualifications : 4–6 years of experience in data analytics, dashboard development, and visualization. Degree in Computer Science or Chemistry with strong programming skills. Python programming and deployment on Posit (RStudio). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter who can thrive in a collaborative environment. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI & Power Apps). Preferred Skills : Experience with Dataiku or Databricks. Proficiency in SQL and relational databases. Knowledge of graph databases (Neo4J, AWS Neptune). Exposure to statistical tools (JMP, Minitab).
