The average expected in-house hours are from 8 AM to 6 PM (10 hours), with 14 hours of on-call duty from 6 PM to 8 AM. Patient Load : Manage an average of 15-20 patients per day, including approximately 5 procedures. The position also requires responding to calls during on-call hours, with an average of 0-10 calls between 7 PM and 7 AM. Callback Frequency : Expect an average of 1-3 callbacks overnight per week, ensuring critical care is provided when needed. Board Certification : Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology. Licensing : An active Oklahoma license or eligibility for an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license is required. Certification Requirements : BLS, ATLS, PALS certifications are not required for this role. Experience : Previous experience in an inpatient setting is highly preferred, ensuring familiarity with the fast-paced environment and critical care needs. EMR System : The facility utilizes Epic for all electronic medical records, providing a streamlined and efficient system for managing patient care. Credentialing Timeframe : The estimated timeframe for credentialing is 60 days, allowing for a thorough and detailed review process. Locum-to-Perm Option : This role is a locum-to-perm position, offering the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role if it is a good fit for both parties.
