Associate PublisherPublisher (Humanities, Media & Arts)

We are recruiting for an Associate Publisher or a Publisher to join the Humanities Media and Arts journals team. This role will be responsible for our growing portfolio of Media and Communication journals managing titles across both Open Access and Open Select models.

The position will pro-actively manage a list of academic journals in the Media and Communication fields building relationships with academic editors learned society contacts and industry experts as well as realising opportunities for growth through organic development and acquisitions.

Whilst taking a team-oriented approach with colleagues the candidate will also enjoy working autonomously as required. Travel will be required. As part of our global cross-functional publishing team this role will work closely with colleagues in our offices in Oxford Melbourne Boca Raton and more as well as external global partners.

What youll be doing :

Portfolio Management and Growth

• Creating and delivering strategic development plans that drive quality growth and profitability for our Media and Communication portfolio.
• Overseeing and managing P&Ls under the direction of an Executive Publisher.
• Meeting and wherever possible exceeding revenue and article volume targets.
• Building maintaining and sharing a thorough knowledge of market need and competitor activity to inform decisions on journal development
• Managing the successful transition to T&F of acquired titles
• Working with external Editors Editorial teams and internal colleagues to commission and acquire new content
