Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm , is seeking a talented mid-level Associate Attorney to join their Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group . This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on cutting-edge technologies and high-value patent portfolios for a sophisticated client base.

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record .
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction , in good standing.
  • 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience at a law firm of comparable rank.
  • Undergraduate or Advanced Degree in one of the following is required :

Electrical Engineering,

  • Computer Engineering,
  • Software Engineering,
  • Computer Science, or
  • Physics.
  • USPTO Admission is required .
  • Patent prosecution experience in the following is strongly preferred :
  • Machine learning / artificial intelligence / neural networks,

  • Radio frequency circuitry,
  • Hardware and / or communications security (encryption / decryption).
  • Ability to quickly master and communicate complex technical subject matter.
  • Soft Skills : Exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications covering advanced electrical and software-related technologies.
  • Manage patent prosecution projects for a sophisticated, global client base.
  • Align patent strategies with client innovation and business objectives.
  • Collaborate across offices and practice groups to deliver integrated intellectual property solutions.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients on portfolio development and protection .

    Compensation & Benefits

    Competitive Compensation : Includes an annual salary range of $240,000–$365,000 , depending on experience and market factors.

    Eligibility for a discretionary bonus .
