In this position...

The Senior Systems Engineer (Lighting) will lead the development of the requirements pertaining to features, functions, and interfaces of the interior and exterior lighting systems. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to establish performance requirements, review signal chains, capture interface definitions, simulate state machines, and lead supplier discussions to deliver successful implementation of vehicle features via hardware and software.

You will lead bring-up and validation activities for each vehicle build and support overall functionality and performance of vehicle systems throughout product life cycle. You will Conceptualize, Design, Engineer, Develop, and support the launch of next-generation vehicle platform architectures for electric vehicles.

You'll have…

• . in Computer Science or Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of systems engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to automotive concepts
• Experience and working knowledge of systems development, electrical architecture, functional architecture, functional safety, and system integration
• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools
• Experience defining and driving to implementation complex and cross-functional features and functions
• Proven debugging and diagnostic skills in electrical, mechanical, and functional / software domains
• Experience with Vehicle Network Protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet
• Experience with creating and executing component and system level test procedures
• Experience with requirements capture in requirements management software platforms (. JAMA, DOORS) focused on functional and performance requirements
• Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
• A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement
