Physical Therapist Job Details

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)

Healthcare Setting : Inpatient Hospital

Shift : Day shifts, 5x8-hour (08 : 00 – 16 : 30), Monday – Friday; 2 weekend days per month rotation

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1900–$2040

Location : Manchester, Connecticut (CT), 06040

Scrubs : Wine / Maroon

Physical Therapist Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of inpatient physical therapy experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Active Connecticut State Physical Therapy License

Connecticut Department of Health PT Certification

BLS Certification (required for all healthcare jobs)

Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system (required)

Ability to provide clinical support for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients

COVID-19 vaccine and booster required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for inpatient populations

Develop and implement individualized care plans with measurable short- and long-term goals

Utilize assistive devices and specialty equipment (gait belts, walkers, sit-to-stand lifts, sliding boards, specialty beds)

Conduct assessments : pain, sensory response, skin integrity, strength testing, vital signs

Support post-stroke rehabilitation, orthopedic cases (total hip / knee replacement), cognitive disorders, and cardiopulmonary conditions

Educate patients and families on physical therapy plans, safety, and injury prevention

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response)

Document all patient care and progress in Meditech system using SBAR communication
