Summary :

The Maintenance Technician (Welder) performs welding and fabrication tasks to maintain repair and construct production equipment in a food manufacturing facility. The role ensures machinery and systems operate safely efficiently and in compliance with food safety standards.

Education & Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent

Certification in welding techniques (AWS ASME) preferred

Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial environment (food production experience highly preferred)

Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards is a plus

Skilled in operating welding tools and equipment

Strong attention to detail and precision

Physically capable of standing for long periods and handling industrial materials

Key Responsibilities :

Welding & Fabrication : Perform welding and fabrication on production equipment conveyors stainless steel tanks and other metal components

Equipment Maintenance : Inspect and maintain equipment to prevent downtime and ensure operational efficiency

Repairs : Perform timely repairs on breakdowns to minimize production interruptions

Preventive Maintenance : Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan

Safety Compliance : Follow all welding safety procedures use PPE and maintain a clean safe workspace

Documentation : Maintain accurate logs of welding and maintenance work performed

Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve mechanical or structural equipment issues

Collaboration : Work closely with maintenance engineering and production teams to coordinate repairs and ensure smooth operations

Material Management : Track and maintain an inventory of welding tools and materials

Continuous Improvement : Recommend process or equipment improvements for greater efficiency and safety

Please prioritize experienced welders with a manufacturing or food industry background and the ability to work 2nd shift (2 : 00 PM 10 : 30 PM) .
