Structural Designer

Selectek is seeking a Structural Designer for a contract-to-direct hire role with one of our partnering firms near Birmingham, Alabama. This firm is seeking an experienced candidate with strong knowledge of commercial and residential building projects.

Employment Type : Contract-to-Direct Location : Southern Birmingham, AL Expected Pay Range : $25-$33 per hour based on experience and certifications

Job Requirements :

  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • 3+ years of experience in structural design
  • Knowledge of commercial construction codes
  • Ideal candidate has Associates Degree or certification in Drafting / Design

In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties :

  • Design and develop structural plans for commercial projects
  • Create 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Prepare construction documents with regard to design, material, specification, and detailing
  • Coordinate revisions to structural plans or elevations with details
