Qualifications and requirements

Behavioral Health Therapist provides psychiatric assessment and therapy to individuals, groups, and / or families. Therapist functions in a direct practice role that includes diagnostic reasoning, clinical decision making, patient / family education, consultation, counseling, utilization management, and discharge planning.

• Graduate from a university program in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, or MSW.
• TTwo (2) recent years clinical experience preferred.
• Duties will include intakes, individual, group and family therapy, and case and treatment planning.
• Current or eligible license in New Mexico as a Psychologist, CNS, LISW / LMSW, LPC / C or LMHC.
• Medical Staff credentialing for independent therapy provision must be initiated upon employment.
• Must be credentialed as a Behavioral Health Therapist within one (1) year of employment.
• Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center. Job Description outlines physical requirements of the position.
