The Company is in search of a visionary Head of Excess Casualty Claims to establish and lead the excess casualty claims function. This executive-level role is pivotal in setting the claims strategy, designing workflows, and building a high-performing team to ensure operational excellence and alignment with underwriting and corporate objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the claims function, including reserving, litigation, and settlement strategies, and will serve as the final authority on complex and high-severity claims. Key responsibilities also include managing relationships with external partners, driving a closed-loop feedback system with other business functions, and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Applicants for the Head of Excess Casualty Claims position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of commercial casualty claims experience, with a focus on excess and umbrella liability, particularly in the E&S market. The role requires a proven track record in leadership, including the ability to recruit, develop, and lead a team of claims professionals. Strong knowledge of complex coverage issues, litigation management, and settlement strategies is essential, as is experience in managing external relationships.
