Position Summary
The Leasing Agent has full responsibility for site marketing and leasing, application processing, review and documentation, program compliance, wait list process, and unit-file maintenance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and highlight community features and benefits.
- Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and prepare lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, traffic, and follow-ups.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including online listings, social media, and community outreach.
- Ensure model units and common areas are clean and presentable.
- Support resident retention efforts and respond to service requests or concerns.
- Collaborate with the property management team to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
- Performs duties in compliance with all applicable fair housing, federal, state, and local statutes, and in compliance with all loan, grant, or program requirements
- Participate in training in order to comply with new or existing laws.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of 1 year of previous low-income housing property leasingPrevious leasing, sales, or customer service experience is a plus.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., Yardi).Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed.Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times.Regular attendance and punctuality are mandatory.Intermediate level experience in computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and community software applications.Dress Code : Business Casual

Comfortable working in a professional office environment.
